Rev. Howard Beckham CEO Integrity Transformations Community Development Corporation

Howard Beckham, is a native of Atlanta’s Westside. After being called to minister on the Westside 23 years ago, he sensed the need to become more involved with developing solutions to address the myriad of social ills that plagued the community. As a result, he founded New Jerusalem Community Ministries which established a food ministry that fed over 500 of the homeless and working poor weekly in the Westside of Atlanta for over 12 years. In 2003, the ministry established the English Avenue Community Resource Center that provided clothing, substance abuse counseling, a community computer lab, and employment and social service referrals. Also, the ministry created the Grace Period transitional home for homeless women who were recovering from substance abuse; the lives of over 100 women were impacted by the program.

In 2010, Beckham recognized the need for a community development corporation that focused on human capital, primarily in the area of workforce development. To that end, the ministry name was changed to Integrity Transformations Community Development Corporation, and the English Avenue/Vine City Employment Resource Center was established. From 2010 to 2014, ITCDC assisted with placing over 400 community residents in full-time employment. In 2014, ITCDC was invited by the Blank Foundation to become a partner in the newly formed Westside Works training program. Beckham is CEO of ITCDC, which is also the managing partner of Westside Works. He has served as president of the Vine City/English Avenue Ministerial Alliance and the English Avenue Neighborhood Association.
